VOLUNTEERS
Every year festival brings together about 70 volunteers, who are motivated, young people, actively involved in the festival and help to make it happen. Through this project, they gain a lot of knowledge and experience, as well as the chance to get to meet different people from all around the world and share their opinions and views about different current subjects.
International Student Week in Belgrade is built around the idea of “young for the young”, giving them the opportunity to gain the necessary theoretical, but also practical experience in different areas. A great number of both participants, as well as volunteers, are gathered around the festival each year, helping in its realization with their enthusiasm and commitment.
This year, it is expected that ISWiB will be helped by around 70 volunteers, and as much as over 300 volunteers have had an opportunity to be a part of organizing the International Student Week in Belgrade so far. Volunteers are recruited from local communities and they have a very important role in making this festival happen. ISWiB is led by the idea of inspiring young people to be more involved in solving the problems of societies they live in, both on a personal and professional level. One of ISWiB’s primary tasks is to help young people reach their full potential.
TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS
Training for volunteers is educational and it will provide all the necessary information about the festival and about the role that volunteers have in the process, in order to prepare in the best way for all the duties during the festival. Training will be conducted for all volunteers together, and for each of the four separate groups (Group guide, Info&Host, Logistics and Media). This will also be an opportunity for the volunteers to get to know the coordinators of their teams, as well as all the other members of the organizing board, whom they will cooperate with during the festival.
