Voices United on Stage

This workshop connects theatre, music and movement in one creative process. Instead of preparing a traditional scripted musical, participants explore how different cultures and identities can be expressed through performance. The main idea of the workshop is to imagine that culture has a voice and to discover how that voice would sound, move and feel.

Participants begin with simple exercises that help them relax, use their voice and express emotions through movement. Step by step, they work in groups to create short scenes, sound elements and movement sequences. Each group focuses on one form of expression, but all groups work around the same theme, such as identity, belonging or connection.

During the workshop, these different artistic elements are combined. Movement influences text, music changes the mood of a scene, and spoken words shape the rhythm of the performance. Instead of following a fixed script, the final piece develops naturally from collaboration and experimentation.

The result is a short collective performance that reflects different perspectives and emotions. It is not only about acting or dancing, but about communication, teamwork and shared creativity. The workshop encourages participants to step out of their comfort zone, express themselves freely and experience how different art forms can come together to create one meaningful story.
